I am an illustrator and childrens’ book author based in West Yorkshire.

With a diverse background in illustration using analogue and digital methods, I achieved an MA in illustration after previously completing a BA Hons in architecture. I enjoy utilising all elements of my illustrative toolkit to bring together the complexities of the adult world through the whimsy of the child to create fantastical environments built from bold forms and colours.

My most recent work bridges the worlds of the child and the adult through the surreal to promote understanding of challenging themes. It explores narrative illustration as a communicator for abstract concepts through symbol, mark and colour by visually expressing characters’ different perspectives, or ‘voices’, making them accessible to a diverse, young audience.
